Elitepage – Does it help me do my work more efficiently
Answer the following questions when you are using multifunction device or scanner
- Do you want it easy to use the scanner or multi-function all in one device?
- Do you want a quick and straight forward to save documents to a specific location and file name them so they can be easily retrieved?
- Would you like to view pages simultaneously from multiple documents, and combine them into new documents without getting lost in a host of multiple document windows?
- Do you wish you could combine mixed document types, scanned and picture into one document simply?
- Is it a priority to process your scanned documents quickly?
Elitepage is a multi-functional desktop tool providing the following benefits.
- Organise your scanned paper documents with the same standards and naming conventions you use for your Office documents via the elitefile Templates.
- Quickly select ranges of pages from a seamless pallet of pages from different documents. (This is particularly important if one larger document has been split to make scanning easier, or where a scanner jam has caused two or more documents to be created)
- Image viewing area can stick to a particular zone which speeds up considerably the way in which documents can be processed. (It may be necessary to view the bottom right hand side of a document for a signature where a number of similar documents require reviewing)
- Elitepage using a zoom slider control for the creation of page thumbnails and as the user is not reliant on menu options, provides for a quicker method of working with larger page sets

Elitepage evolution
Whilst working closely with our clients during training and implementation on document management projects we gained an insight into how users would like to work, and therefore make their IT infrastructure much more effective. IT should be a business solution not a technology showcase.
Many clients wished for an easy to use scanning tool which would work not only with the scanner but also with their networked multifunction devices. The scanning applications provided with the scanner were too basic for serious business use, and there was a problem with managing the output from these devices.
The choices presented regarding all the scanner options proved to be daunting.
The training and knowledge required to collate and combine pages into discrete documents was troublesome for some users.
Another area that needed addressing was the post scanning quality control and the ability to re-scan and add pages in a way that was easy to use and understand. It was realised that these features were available in many existing products but were convoluted to use.
In some organisations there may be a mixture scanners and multifunction devices– often the managers would have their own personal scanning tool.
The solution was to provide a single scanner product – elitepage, with rules based file naming for the output from a scanning tool. The rules could be distributed if necessary to make standardisation easier. The documents created would be named according to a user defined naming convention and stored in a consistent location (without the need to keep browsing to a file location and make decisions about file naming ).
In conclusion, by using elitepage for scanning, and elitefile for the other Office document files, it is possible to unify all company documents into a coherent filing structure.
